1987 Mustang LX 5.0

This is my sons first car. He is 16 years old and has saved his money for a long time to get a Mustang. I think he did well in buying this one.

This is the way the car looked when he got it.

We converted the car to 5 lug with a set of new Lincoln Mark VII front rotors,and a pair of Ford Ranger Drivers side rear axles and 9" drums.

The Wheels are Weld Pro-Stars. The Fronts are 15x5 with 3.5 backspace with 205/60r15 tires.

The Rears are 15x8 with 5.5 backspace with 255/60r15 tires .

We lowered the front end by cutting one full coil from the front springs.

.4/05 Peformance Mufler and exhaust installed a 2 1/2 inch exhaust system with 40 series Flowmaster mufflers,an H pipe and "dumps".

5/05 We installed a set of BBK chrome shorty headers with 1- 5/8 tubes.

8/05 We installed a Bauman engineering shift kit along with a B+M hammer shifter,and an Autometer Tach with shift light.

Added a 3 inch Cowl induction hood made by Kaenen out of Florida . I was very happy with the quality. On this trip to the track I ran a 14.35 @ 96.85 mph. Not bad for a Stock engined ,AOD car with 2.78 gears!

For Christmas 2005 I got Motive 3.90 rear gears ,a rebuilt posi unit and a set of Autometer guages (oil and water) along with an Autometer Tach Pod to mount them in.
